A GRAND EVENT: DIOR SHOWS IN LECCE

Dior is going ahead with its Cruise show planned for July 22. The special, high-impact extravaganza will be held in the awe-inspiring Piazza Duomo in Lecce, the Baroque pearl nestled in the southern Italian Apulia region. Initially scheduled for May, the audience-less event will be live streamed in respect to the moment and social distancing rules. The collection will have a special, heartfelt meaning for Maria Grazia Chiuri, Creative Director for women’s wear and accessories at the French Couture House, whose Apulian roots will be channeled in a beautiful narrative that underscores the richness of this land, interlaced with a strong personal message. The event will be supported by a hefty entourage of 1,000 people in a tribute to the arts in all its forms – fashion, artistry, craftsmanship, dance, music, food. The participants include weavers, artists, musicians, filmmakers, carpenters, and electricians, plus models, photographers, hairstylists, makeup artists and event producers.
