A MODERN DUALITY: BOTTEGA VENETA WARDROBE 02

A balance of excess and minimalism highlights the Bottega Veneta Wardrobe 02 collection, or the Pre-Fall 2021 season. The house's Creative Director, Daniel Lee, works his signature sharp tailoring for men and women, jazzed up with high-glam details, spanning giant ruffles, feathers,; macro sequins, rhinestones and swooshing fringes. Primarily, the silhouettes are sharp-fitting with a selection of handsome coats and blazers, one-piece suits, clean-cut leather trench coats, teddy coats and hour-glass dresses. Overall the feeling is modern but luxurious, striking a soft-strong duality. Lee worked a mostly black palette sparked up by neon green (one his favorite carry-over hues), turquoise, teal blue, and pink, yellow. Plus all those great, covetable accessories that have become buzzy must-haves among fashionistas. The campaign fronts a slew of stars - Valeria Golino, the principle dancer of the American Ballet Theater in New York, Roberto Bolle, American director Melina Matsoukas, rapper Little Simz, British artist Mark Leckey and rapper Skepta, among many more.
