BOTTEGA VENETA INVESTS IN THIRD PRODUCTION PLANT

Further strengthening its ties with its homeland, the Veneto region, Bottega Veneta will expand its Manifattura Veneta Pelletterie facility, the brand’s manufacturing company that since 2011 produces over 50 percent of its leather goods between two factories and around 20 supply chain partners. The existing factories, located in Altavilla Vicentina and Malo, employ 300 skilled artisans who are specialized in the various production stages of bags, shoes, belts, and small leather goods, from the selection and cutting of the leathers to assembly and quality control. The third Manifattura Veneta Pelletterie factory, set to bow at the end of 2020 and employ around 200 people, will be based in Povolaro di Dueville. It will be housed in a 6,000 square-meter modernbuilding that bonds hand-made craftsmanship with avant-garde technology. This new project earmarks an important step in Bottega Veneta’s successful quest to balance the highest standards of excellence with the flexibility required by creative requests. The new factory also reflects the house’s commitment to its home territory and inhabitants with the hiring of 100 new workers in various fields, who will be supported by specific training programs aimed at transmitting Bottega Veneta’s unique skills and outstanding craftsmanship.
