The launch of the Nick Wooster x Paul&Shark capsule collection at Antonia Milano last night kicked off the project with a bang. Hundreds of guests, including cool young kids, influencers and regular clients, flocked to the boutique, mingling, checking out the collection and enjoying a live performance by rising Italian rapper Anastasio, the winner of the latest edition of Italy's X Factor. Outside, it was a mob scene with crowds of young fans clamoring to get a glimpse of him.; The Nick Wooster X Paul&Shark capsule that tells the brand's story through the eyes of the eclectic American designer and was born from a desire to raise the brand's influence among cool, fashion-conscious customers. In that light, Wooster reimagined Paul&Shark's iconic products, made them his own and branded them with an X.;A case in point is the house's trademark blue wool sweater, adorned with buttons on the shoulder, resized and made from nylon with fluorescent details. The X is also key element of the exclusive and contemporary Antonia Milano window displays, where fluorescent giant Xs form a cage-like effect around hangers with the glass base reflecting and multiplying the geometries. The blend of technical and precious materials fully mirrors the core of the collaboration.; Color, prints, patchwork and the unconventional use of materials are the key elements of the Nick Wooster X Paul&Shark collection. The fluo knitwear is made from ultra-light cashmere, while the parkas, shirts and shorts feature patchwork details inspired by striped shirts and bonded with contrasting materials, including nylon. The jackets and shirts have been embellished with exclusive contrasting color blocks while the roomy coats are often reversible.
