THE LOUIS VUITTON X EXHIBITION

Get ready to travel through Louis Vuitton’s 160-year history of creative exchanges and artistic collaborations with the Louis Vuitton X exhibition, housed inside the house’s iconic 468 North Rodeo Drive building in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles. Fanning out across two floors, the vivid and engaging exhibit offers an immersive journey recounted with over 180 items from Louis Vuitton’s archives that retrace the house’s pioneering journey in the world of collabs, from Sprouse to Supreme. Among them the iconic Monogram bags remastered by renowned artists and designers the caliber of Karl Lagerfeld, Rei Kawakubo, Cindy Sherman, Frank Gehry, Richard Prince, Jeff Koons and Zaha Hadid. A mesmerizing road paved by Marc Jacobs, who blazed a new trail when he joined forces with Stephen Sprouse in 2000, asking him to reinterpreted Vuitton’s monogram for the first time. Also on display are 38 red-carpet gowns designed by Nicolas Ghesquière for Julia Roberts, Michelle Williams and Lady Gaga among others. Timed in conjunction with the exhibition, LV will also reveal six new collaborations with artists Sam Falls, Urs Fischer, Nicholas Hlobo, Alex Israel, Tschabalala Self, and Jonas Wood who lent their artsy touches to the house’s Capucines bag, named after the location of its first store in Paris. The exhibition runs through September 15.
