BOTTEGA VENETA SUPPORTS THE RESTORATION OF ST. MARK’S BASILICA

In the aftermath of the devastating floods that inundated Venice last month, Bottega Veneta will lend a helping hand in the conservation of Saint Mark’s Basilica, one of world’s most famous and visited landmark sites. The storied Italian luxury label has teamed up with international non-profit organization Venetian Heritage to devolve 30 percent of sales from four iconic Bottega Veneta handbags - BV Classic, Marie, BV Angle and Arco. The proceeds will support the recovery of the Basilica’s mosaic floors and marble walls that were severely damaged by the deluge. “Bottega Veneta’s identity is rooted within the rich history of the Veneto region. Venice is a world apart, the quintessence of the region’s heritage and we are committed to the future and protection of its iconic symbols,” said Leo Rongone, Chief Executive Office of Bottega Veneta. For his part, the brand’s Creative Director Daniel Lee, said: “I am proud we are able to contribute to the restoration of Saint Mark’s Basilica, one of the most inspiring monuments in Venice. At Bottega Veneta, we are dedicated to our cultural heritage and preservation of the Veneto region.”
