BUFFALO LONDON BY 032C

Fledgling Berlin-based fashion brand 032c just launched its first women’s shoe collection, Buffalo London by 032c, designed by 032c Ready-to-Wear Creative Director Maria Koch. The line is a collaboration between clothing label and content platform 032c and Buffalo Boots, both German companies. The selection combines Buffalo’s iconic platform sneaker soles, popularized by youth and club subcultures in the 1990s and 2000s, with typical elements of classic luxury footwear. Riding-inspired jodhpur ankle boots with high-quality leather uppers are fastened with a traditional strap and buckle, and updated with Buffalo height, 032c-red detailing, and a bespoke square clasp. Thigh-highs reference fetish-and club-wear, reinterpreted in the rich materials. The undertaking is a “natural next step for the brand,” says Maria Koch, and an “exploration of the full spectrum of possibility for the 032c design identity.” The goal was to combine womenswear with the distinctive feel of clubwear. “We’re celebrating that tension and potential,” she adds.
