For his first collaboration with Lacoste, Tyler, The Creator infused some of his iconic style into the traditional French tennis culture creating a special capsule called Lacoste x GOLF le FLEUR. The multi-talented, California-based musician, known for his off-kilter creative statements, transposed his saturated, left field colorimetric blueprint onto the 16-style collection, characterized by flat color blocks, reminiscent of the courtside hues from the Eighties, which Tyler, The Creator used on archival Lacoste cult pieces. The result? A modern sportswear-inflected chic infused with retro references. Straight, unisex cuts bring to life short-sleeved polo shirts, buttoned tees, sweatshirts, shorts and bucket hats in thick cottons while an embroidered varsity jacket in wool reveals a couture-like feel. The iconic crocodile was reimagined with an embroidered poppy flower clenched between its jaw. Wedged somewhere in-between the classy and the sassy, Lacoste × GOLF le FLEUR redefines the conventional notions of elegance and casual style. Subversive and multifaceted by nature, Tyler, The Creator is an artist-cum-designer who designs his own line called Golf Wang and is the leader/co-founder of alternative hip-hop collective, Off Future.
