Virgil Abloh is helping Black fashion students to invest in their future. The highly-acclaimed founder of luxe streetwear label Off-White and artistic director of Louis Vuitton has raised $1 million through his newly-founded Virgil Abloh “Post Modern” Scholarship Fund, which stems from a long-term partnership with the Fashion Scholarship Fund. The amount reached includes a personal donation from the designer as well as support from Evian, Farfetch, Louis Vuitton and New Guards Group.
The sum will provide scholarships to Black students seeking to shape a career in fashion. Besides financial support, the organization will also provide mentoring and access to career services.
