C.P. COMPANY

Since it was founded in the Seventies, C.P. Company has constantly pioneered new trails in the world of outerwear with its ground-breaking garment-dyeing techniques. To that end, the purveyor of the process is C.P Company founder Massimo Osti, who in the early Seventies started dyeing a garment, usually made from white or natural fabrics, in the final steps of the manufacturing process as opposed to the traditional method of manufacturing garments from pre-dyed fabrics. While the technique of garment dyeing has long existed, Osti and his collaborators were the first to apply it to garments made from multiple fabrics or fibers. The result is a chromatic depth, richness and intensity that is impossible to achieve with pre-dyed fabric. Among the many C.P Company milestone years are 1981, whensynthetic fibers were garment-dyed for the first time, a process that quickly became C.P. Company cornerstone, 1988 when a research on the protective hoods and anti-gas items used by the army inspire Osti to shift his focus from the collar to the hood, bringing to light the goggle jacket. In 2005, the waterproof Gore-Tex fabric is successfully garment-dyed for the first time. And many, many more. Always chugging full-steam ahead, still today each C.P Company garment-dyed piece is characterized by a special feel set off by exclusive nuances and a worn-in hand.
