ON THE WALL: LOEWE SS 2021

Seeking engaging new formats that differ from traditional shows, Jonathan Anderson created the inventive Show-on-the-Wall experience, developed in collaboration with artist Anthea Hamilton, to present his Loewe SS 2021 collection. In response to the times we are currently living in, Show-on-the-Wall comes in the form of an oversized artist’s portfolio complete with life-sized wall-paper images of the new collection and all the necessary tools - a paintbrush, scissors, glue, a canvas tool bag, a scented ceramic disc and the sheet music for Thomas Tallis´ Spem in Alium, a motet for forty voices. Each poster captures a diverse character, representing a vast cross section of ages, gender and body types, wearing a look from the collection, characterized by a mix of theatrical, dramatic pieces told through sculpted volumes, crinolines and oversized balloon sleeves countered by more everyday essentials such as logoed hoodies, cashmere sweatpants, a fringed blanket shirt and a soft bi-color hooded jacket, alongside the newest versions of the hallmark Puzzle and Balloon bags.
