Ladies, get ready to make a splash. Italian label The Attico celebrated its first capsule project for Antonia Milano with an offbeat, buzzy event held Thursday night that drew a mixed, A-list crowd. The windows of Antonia were decked out with the full capsule collection. During in-store cocktails guests browsed the collection then boarded a personalized white tram that weaved its way around Milan to arrive at Shangri-La for a light, buffet dinner. With their hallmark “modern vintage” flair, designers Gilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini created nine show-stopping pieces spanning iconic floor-grazing gowns, feather-embellished tuxedo jackets and sequined numbers. Powerful, luxurious and inventive as always. In a mishmash of intricate and daring color combinations — a house specialty — limes, mauves and oranges are countered by whites, greys and blacks. Their muse? A self-confident woman who naturally and effortlessly performs for an audience or for herself. Launched in 2016, The Attico is the brainchild of Ambrosio and Tordini. Driven by their penchant for sparkly glamour, opulence and seduction, theirs is an inclusive fashion project.
