DEMNA'S FIRST GUCCI CHAPTER

Demna presents his first chapter for Gucci, a collection unveiled through a series of portraits. The photographs are by Los Angeles-based art photographer Catherine Opie, who captured 37 characters shaped around the idea of “Gucciness” that unmistakable essence of the maison which Demna chose not to dismantle, but to reinterpret.
Each figure bears a name: Miss Aperitivo, La VIC, the Narcissist. Then there is The Influencer, the Nerd, The Countess, and The Patron.
The monogram fabric is reimagined across the belted jacket, the lace midi dress, the drawstring midi skirt, the silk bow shirt, and the technical fabric hooded jacket.
Among the accessories, the Jackie 1961 in black leather, the Shopping Mercato Grande in GG canvas, and teardrop sunglasses with metal or tortoiseshell frames stand out.
