Bright, bold and playful, the Loewe Pre-Fall campaign stars a variegated cast of top-flight personalities, including Sir Anthony Hopkins, “The Lost Daughter” actress Jessie Buckley, Kaia Gerber, eighty-year-old artist Lynda Benglis, Chinese actress Tang Wei, Japanese Paralympic athlete Maya Nakanishi, and singer-songwriters Alewya and Caroline Polachek.
At the heart of the inspiration, captured by photographer Juergen Teller, was Jonathan Anderson’s desire to create a dialogue between fashion and individuals across all ages and walks of life.
The imagery displays a certain rawness that sets off each character’s personality but also the whimsically subversive pieces spanning wildly-printed Tees, fringed coats, parrot-printed leggings, and furry toppers. And the bags obviously play a lead role with new iterations of the house’s specialties: the Puzzle, the Amazona, the Flamenco, and the Anagram.
