Nanushka’s easy confidence and subtle femininity gain a different feel this season, in part due to the fact that Sandra Sandor, the designer and founder of the Budapest-based house, quarantined in the Hungarian countryside, immersed in the wilderness, in total contemplation. Her connection with nature reveals a choice of natural, sustainable materials such as vegan leather and organic cotton, shaped as button-down shirt dresses, spaghetti-strap wrap-around shifts and skirts, belted shirts, and micro tucked tops, all in a tight palette of black, tan and ivory.
A graduate of the London College of Fashion, Sandor launched Nanushka in 2006 and veered in a more entrepreneurial direction when her longtime partner Peter Baldaszti joined as a co-owner and CEO.
Designed in Budapest and produced in Europe, the brand draws inspiration from the spiritual journey through cultures and time, effortlessly combining function with flair.
