7 MONCLER FRAGMENT BY HIROSHI FUJIWARA 2ND DROP

From electric blue to cherry red, color steals the show with the second drop of the Moncler Genius project by Hiroshi Fujiwara. For the second leg of this unique collaboration, Fujiwara works the color element with blurry, painterly effects that mix and overlap, setting off a series of geometries spanning Fair Isle to oriental to tartan, plus inventive Tri-color textures reminiscent of a contemporary Tetris Game. Details include detachable stickers and messages such as “To the South”, declined for all four cardinal points, visibly spelled out on the puffers. A creative director, musician and record producer from Japan, Fujiwara is a modern-day and multi-faceted cultural agitator with a far-sighted acumen who fuses streetwear, hip-hop and general culture. The brainchild of CEO Remo Ruffini, Moncler Genius is an explosion of game-changing creativity that defines the future through the work of eight designers who add an authentic, imaginative and unique touch to the brand's signature down jacket. The other designers are Valentino's creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli; Moncler 1952; Sandro Mandrino for Moncler Grenoble; Simone Rocha; Craig Green; Noir Kei Ninomiya; and Francesco Ragazzi for Moncler Palm Angels. All challenged with reinventing the down jacket, Moncler's bread-and-butter.
