EXCLUSIVE: 2 MONCLER 1952 GENIUS PROJECT
Sep 07, 2018
The 2 Moncler 1952 Collection pays homage to the brand’s origins when it was established in a small town nestled in the Haute Savoie mountains.
Born for function and transformed into form, over the decades this hot outerwear label known for its iconic puffer jackets, has gained global success and cult status by sticking to its roots while adding a distinctive fast-paced metropolitan appeal to its offering.
A bond that rings loud and clear in the new Moncler 1952 collection, part of the Genius project, where the label’s pillars – the logo and the puffer jacket - are injected with a contemporary pop and visual vibrancy. To wit, the logo is blown up to macro proportions, commanding attention against the lacquered or matte nylon of the jackets in vitaminic colors such as orange, blue, red, purple and green. Two-tone combos and graphic mosaic patterns or Navaho motifs also provide standout elements.
The brainchild of CEO Remo Ruffini, Moncler Genius is an explosion of game-changing creativity that defines the future through the work of eight designers who add an authentic, imaginative and unique touch to the brand’s signature down jacket.
