Stone Island presents DENIM RESEARCH, a capsule that reinterprets denim through the brand’s legacy of innovation and technical expertise.
In 1984, Massimo Osti first introduced denim to the collection, followed by Paul Harvey in the early 2000s, who launched Stone Island Denims with a dedicated identity and design.
For Fall/Winter 25, the brand explores new material possibilities, applied across outerwear, overshirts, and carpenter jeans, all finished with a black badge featuring the blue Compass logo and nickel buttons.
The capsule spans from radical innovation to tradition: from Polypropylene Denim to David Light Indigo-TC, Micro Corduroy, and raw Japanese selvedge denim.
Polypropylene Denim is the innovation: a polypropylene yarn with a double-face effect, woven with indigo-dyed cotton. The result is a collection of lightweight pieces with a deep indigo tone, available in rinsed or raw finishes.
Indigo-treated nylon takes on the appearance of denim: Hollow Fiber Nylon Indigo-TC ensures lightness thanks to its hollow fibre, while Stone Island’s corrosive treatment gives each piece a unique, worn effect.
David Light Nylon Indigo-TC, woven with Japanese poly yarn, is assembled, dyed with indigo pigment, and treated with a water-repellent agent. Through a carefully calibrated garment-dyeing process, each piece undergoes shrinkage that completely transforms its appearance.
Micro Corduroy reinterprets another classic, blending indigo-dyed cotton with white polyester fibres to create a distinctive ribbed texture.
The collection is completed with fresh interpretations of traditional treatments-Bull Denim-TC, Selvedge Indigo Denim, Stretch Denim-offered in regular rinse, light rinse, and raw finishes.
Five-pocket jeans are available in straight, and loose fits.
