A GLOW-IN-THE-DARK FIRST: BEATS AND AMBUSH

The first-ever tie-up between leading audio brand Beats and Japanese label Ambush brings special-edition Powerbeats in pastel green, characterized by a glow-in-the-dark finish, high-performance sound, sweat and water-resistance and a co-branded pouch. Besides marking the first official collaboration between Beats and Ambush, which was co-founded by Yoon Ahn, the earphones are Beats’ first-ever glow-in-the-dark product. Ahn, known for her unconventional unisex designs, infused with unexpected elements of streetwear, jewelry, luxury and local subcultures, was inspired by her nocturnal side, sparked by Tokyo’s nightlife and energy. “I live in the middle of Shibuya and I am always inspired by how the city just glows at nighttime,” said Ahn. “I thought it would be really cool to design a product that could capture that same city energy when you’re outside late at night listening to music. This collaboration was designed for everyone who is confident, having fun, being creative and trying new things - those kids always seem to glow the brightest.” The campaign and dedicated video are fronted by Burna Boy, a Nigerian artist celebrated for his genre-blending Afro-fusion music.
