LADY GAGA TO STAR IN NEW GUCCI MOVIE

Lady Gaga is back in the spotlight and ready to star in a new movie by Ridley Scott on the saga of the Gucci family. In the film, based on the book by Sarah Gay Forden called "Gucci House: The Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour and Greed," the Oscar-winning actress plays the role of Patrizia Reggiani, who hired a hit man to kill her ex-husband Maurizio Gucci, the grandson of Guccio Gucci and the Italian fashion house’s founder. Gucci and Reggiani, a simple young woman, met in 1970 and spent two decades together. According to the Italian press, after the divorce, she chose to kill her ex-husband more for the fact that he had sold his 50 percent stake in Gucci to a Bahrein-based company for a reported $100 million, than for jealousy. Dubbed the Black Widow, Reggiani made no secret of her love for indulgence, richness and luxury. She served 16 years in prison for having had Gucci killed. The affable manager was shot outside his Milan office in 1995, a few years after leaving Reggiani for another woman. Reggiani, whose most legendary quotes is “I’d rather cry in a Rolls Royce than be happy on a bicycle,” was released in 2016. Further details on the film are still under wraps.
