A PATCHWORK FEST: SACAI SS 2021

One of the most inventive and distinctive designers on today’s fashion scene, every season Sacai’s Chitose Abe comes up with an enlightening inspiration that becomes the thread of her collection. For Spring/Summer, Abe teamed up with American artist Hank Willis Thomas for her “Love Over Rules” collection that champions the respect for all people, regardless of their age, race, culture or sexuality. To eye-catching effect, the artsy influence reverberates throughout the lineup with a flurry of pieces - velvet shirts, zipped jackets, shorts, bomber styles and tees – crafted in lively, sumptuous patchworks. Hers is an intriguing visual mash-up to be layered liberally and audaciously.
