BOWIE BY SUKITA IN FLORENCE

The Heroes - Bowie by Sukita exhibition lands in Florence where it will be on display at Palazzo Medici Riccardi until June 28, 2019. Curated by ONO Arte Contemporanea, the large-sized portraits and pictures of the over-the-top, revolutionary and genial musician are a testimony of the 40-year-old bond, both professional and private, between the legendary rock star and Japanese guru of photography, Masayoshi Sukita. Among the many images is the cover shot of the 1977 Heroes album and personal ones from Sukita’s own archives that further underscore the close friendship between the two artists. Visitors will also be able to visit the awe-inspiring 15th century Palazzo Medici Riccardi, the home to Florence’s noblest and grandest family.
