NIKE AIR MAX TINKER 'SKETCH TO SHELF'
A PLAYFUL TWIST
Legendary designer Tinker Hatfield masterminded plenty of game-changing Nikes sneakers, the most outstanding silhouette being the introduction of the visible Air and cushioning in 1987. To honor his vision, the “Sketch to Shelf” project brings to life Hatfield’s original Air Max 1 sketches with the tongue tab featuring Hatfield’s first Air Max logo concept. The overall wholesome, playful feel in elevated by the red graphics and handwritten scribbles on the mudguard, against a white base enriched with contrasting stitching. Also of note is the wording “SKETCH, PROPERTY OF NIKE, NOT FOR RESALE” on the inner lining and Hatfield’s signature on the heel.
