GRIMES' NEW VIDEO PROJECT: THE ACID REIGN CHRONICLES
LOW BUDGET, HIGH IMPACT VISION
Following the release of her successful fourth album called Art Angels, electronic guru Grimes has embarked on a new low-budget video project in collaboration with her touring partner Hanna and her brother Mac. Shot over a two-week period during Grimes’ European tour with cell phones in locations spanning from the cobbled streets of Rome to the chaos of London, from rural moments to music festivals, the total of seven videos taken from the Art Angels album include Butterfly, World Princess Pt. II, SCREAM and Belly of the Beat. All of them ooze a powerful and high-impact vibe with Grimes’ typical lively and quirky aesthetic, this time interpreted au naturel, meaning no crew, makeup, cameras or lights. When less is really more.
