BOTTEGA VENETA'S SULTRY AD CAMPAIGN
Daniel Lee’s debut ad campaign for Bottega Veneta certainly stands out from the pack.
The new imagery offers a first peak of the vision of the 32-year-old British designer as the new creative director of the Italian luxurygoods house, succeeding Tomas Maier. Lee, a graduate of Central Saint Martins and the former director of ready-to-wear at Céline under Phoebe Philo, showed his first solo effort for Pre-Fall in December, unveiling modern luxury staples that spotlighted the house’s heritage and hallmarks, such as fine knits, exquisite leather and the signature “intrecciato” weave.
Photographed by Tyrone Lebon on the Italian island of Ischia, the campaign features male and female models lounging around, slouched on snakeskin director chairs, or posing nude with only a pair of tan or brown mid heel pumps.
