EXCLUSIVE: JW ANDERSON TAKES OVER OUR WINDOWS
In celebration of his upcoming FW 2022-23 men's presentation, JW Anderson has taken over all six windows of our boutique to outlandish effect.
Running from today through Jan.18, the eye-catching display marks the first full-fledged digital installation by the London-based designer and serves as a preview for his new collection, set to bow on Jan. 22.
In the form of videos or as vinyl backdrops, each window offers a glimpse of the key symbols and motifs incorporated into Anderson’s latest line-up: blinking eyes with vibrant make-up or featuring a pupil shaped as the brand’s Anchor logo and a flock of pigeons.
Two new logos are also unveiled: ‘Slime’ imagined in toxic waste green and ‘Round’, featuring optical illusion typography in concentric circles.
Avatars also roam around on the screens while male model Georgie wears pieces from the house's newest offering, admiring himself in a mirror and kissing his reflection. Across four stacked monitors, the ‘Antonia’ avatar sports ready-to-wear and accessories against a blue sky bursting with clouds.
