Storied British brand Clarks Originals has teamed up with Antonia for a limited-edition anniversary version of its iconic Desert Boot, which turns 70 this year.
The exclusive partnership revisits the 221 model, a house specialty now customized with a sinuous paisley design in a gentle sand hue. Positioned on the side of the vamp, the overall effect preserves the authenticity of the Clarks DNA mixed with ANTONIA's vision. The tonal palette and rich details ooze a new form of understated elegance.
Inspired by the bandana patchwork, one of the hottest trends for Fall, the pattern is amplified to create a strong, contemporary image, evocative of the world of tattoos.
“We worked on a paisley artwork, executed to recall a “tattoo”,” says Matteo Bellentani, Head of Product at Clarks Originals. “To better reflect this idea, I opted for a delicate laser engraving on the surface of the suede, creating a subtle bicolor effect, without the scorched effect typical of laser.”
The finishing touches consist of two logoed tags in scalloped suede and a second set of rounded laces in the same colorway.
