HERON PRESTON X CARHARTT WIP

The tie-up between Heron Preston and Carhartt WIP puts a high fashion stamp on utilitarian garments with a fanny back, a crystal-embellished beanie, a jacket, a vest and pants, treated and paint splattered for a deep wear look and detailed with Heron Preston's signature orange trim. The 18-piece capsule marks Preston's reverence to workwear as functional protective layers, revisited to become inventive and striking. “I became a fan of Carhartt when I moved to NYC in 2004. I noticed it wasn't only the construction workers wearing it, but it was a brand that transcended cultures. In my opinion Carhartt is one of the first authentic apparel brands (non-fashion) validated in street culture, made relevant by skate and rap. As a fan of industrial culture and American work wear, Carhartt is best in class and a brand I have identified with for nearly two decades,” says Heron Preston, who will celebrate the launch with a number of global events, starting in Tokyo. Founded in 1889, Carhartt is the original American workwear brand, known for its sturdy clothing worn by men and women across the U.S and beyond. With the Carhartt Work in Progress (WIP) line, it added a contemporary design element to its basics.
