INTRODUCING 2 MONCLER GENIUS 1952 AWAKE

Sergio Zambon, the creative mind behind Moncler Genius, embraced his penchant for layers and the juxtaposition of seemingly distant elements into an all-inclusive, far-reaching mix. Steeped in Zambon’s belief that Moncler is an icon that is real and rooted in youth culture, the spirit is energetic and youthful. In his quest to involve external players to elevate his creative dialogues, this season Zambon partnered with Awake NY, the brand that fully captures the unique spirit and diversity of the Big Apple. In a two-way exchange, the Moncler and Awake logos are simply yet boldly juxtaposed on jackets and trousers. In that light, graphic designer Fergus Purcell offered an interpretation of motifs inspired by African wax prints, while Cape Town surf brand Mami Wata Surf provided fun patterns on T-shirts, sweatshirts and swimming shorts. In general, shapes are easy and simple yet subtly tweaked and twisted in a palette of white, grey and black with pops of bright green and electric blue and interspersed with imaginative prints.
