NEWS FLASH: OTB ACQUIRES JIL SANDER

Renzo Rosso’s OTB fashion group has acquired 100 percent of Jil Sander for an undisclosed sum. The label was previously owned by the Japanese multibrand fashion conglomerate Onward Holdings. Founded by Jil Sander in 1968, it has been designed by Lucie and Luke Meier since 2017. The husband-and-wife team has succeeded to global acclaim in reaffirming its founder’s signature minimalism and rigor via luxurious materials, pure silhouettes and a less-is-more artisanal details. Over the years, OTB, the parent company of iconic brands such as Diesel, Maison Margiela, Viktor&Rolf, Marni, Amiri, and state-of-the-art companies Staff International and Brave Kid, has been actively diversifying its portfolio.
