ROCK STAR LIFE: THE NEW GUCCI CAMPAIGN

In an open-space, airy Californian home with a sweeping view, Gucci captures its new Gucci Tailoring ad campaign, starring A$AP Rocky, Iggy Pop, and Tyler, The Creator. In the video and print imagery, the storied artists hang out around the kitchen table with a pot of spaghetti, and in the lounge in the afternoon sunlight, wearing new Gucci Tailoring looks, such as double-breasted suits, and fabrics featuring jacquard House logo. Their pets, including Iggy Pop’s parrot Biggy Pop and a blue hyacinth macaw, are also part of the action. Masterminded by Alessandro Michele, the campaign was shot by Harmony Korine and directed by Christopher Simmonds. “A certain type of fun is also portrayed and the idea of how one’s obsession with appearances can create a kind of common ground that can become a sort of brotherhood. It was beautiful to see these three men together, seemingly different but very similar.” Alessandro Michele.
