DIOR MAN SUMMER 26

For Summer 26, Dior sees Jonathan Anderson recode the Maison’s heritage through the lens of history and art, within a setting that recalls the galleries of Berlin’s Gemäldegalerie.
Velvet walls, calibrated lighting and a museum-like stillness define the atmosphere. Hung throughout the space, the paintings of Jean Siméon Chardin evoke an eighteenth-century sensibility devoted to the everyday, where the sincerity of simple objects and empathy become an aesthetic principle.
The formal language is dismantled and reconstructed with near philological precision. Donegal Irish tweed, regimental ties, the Bar jacket, tailcoats and waistcoats recall the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
Monsieur Dior’s affinity for Rococo and British culture returns in the present through meticulous embroidery, roses and Diorette charms. Historic designs such as the Delft, Caprice and La Cigale dresses are recontextualised and reinterpreted.
T-shirts and sweatshirts in saturated tones reproduce the covers of Dracula by Bram Stoker and Ulysses by James Joyce. Shirts are finished with contrasting piping and an embroidered logo, knitwear is conceived in an oversized fit, and the B30 Countdown sneakers are crafted in mesh and technical fabric.
Brown nubuck and suede define the lace-up boots, while the Dior Clover motif extends across sneakers and baseball hats.
Summer 26 is available at Antonia Brera.
