JEAN PAUL GAULTIER'S MOVIE TIME

Jean Paul Gaultier unveils "FASHION FICTION," Très Gaultier's second drop, the collection dedicated to the Maison's historical garments revisited with a contemporary look. The "Pigalle" motif created from the 2000 Haute Couture collection "Paris and its Muses," is reworked in red and blue versions. The surrealist eye-and-lips motif from SS2020 has been reworked into slim-fit white tulle dresses; La Marinière nautical stripes sail through the collection on waves of tulle and wool. Elements of the beloved and bewitching Gaultier corset make a triumphant return in backside lace-ups and trench coat inserts. Trompe-l'œil 2D and 4D effects have been gauged to decidedly oversize outerwear.
Campaign star Jerry Hall clues us in against a Hollywood set backdrop. Director of photography Petra Collins is inspired by the iconic Gaultier muses.
