The new 2 Moncler 1952 season brings two cool distinct visions masterminded by Sergio Zambon and Veronica Leone, Head of men’s wear and Head of women’s wear, respectively. Theeclectic and multi-faceted Zambon played up two key brand aspects – its heritage and its solid roots in youth culture. A fusion of pop spirit and a relaxed attitude reverberates through the collection, which fully preserves the strong technical features that define the brand’s identity. The color wheel includes muted colors with a vague Seventies feel, often layered in gradient tonal hues, plus tie-dye and laminated touches worked on easy, chilled out shapes. The teddy fleece parkas, fringed down jackets, hooded sweatshirts embellished with the word FREAK, oversized parkas and padded duvet trousers convey a distinctive outdoorsy feel while windbreakers under sturdy suits, matching checked ties and shirts under puffers reveal a new idea of formality. “Since the first season my approach has been to rework the heritage of Moncler related to youth culture and its realness. Realness of an icon translated and evolved through the support of youth mixed with my passion for contemporary art, music, travels. 2 Moncler 1952 this season has a very contemporary laidback vibe for people who enjoy nature close to big cities. Cool climbers of the XXI century with a perceptive behavior,” says Zambon. Leone interpreted the Moncler codes in a layering of materials and shapes, at once surprising and pragmatic. In the spotlight at Antonia are the oversize, roomy cross-body and week-end bags that enhance the 2 MONCLER 1952 collection in collaboration with storied Italian brand Valextra. A minimal rigor disrupted by Moncler’s tone-on-tone signature down accessories.The collaboration between Moncler and Valextra stems from the shared brand and product values and Moncler’s dialogue with today’s culture. Valextra is renowned for its timeless luxury leather goods and strong Milanese legacy, inspired by architecture and design.
