A historic French Maison founded in Paris in 1945 by Madame Marie-Louise, Carven redefined the female wardrobe with a fresh take on unconventional luxury. Since 2023, under the creative direction of English designer Louise Trotter, Carven has reinterpreted its iconic codes through collections that are both mindful and essential. The delicate color palettes and contemporary silhouettes draw inspiration from fabric manipulation and menswear, with a clear emphasis on tailoring and craftsmanship.
Presented at the iconic location at 6 Rond Point des Champs-Élysées, where Madame Carven began her design journey in 1945, the SS25 collection evokes considered and refined silhouettes in a monochromatic palette of blacks and whites, highlighted with hints of orange and beige. The blouses are soft and enveloping, the taffeta creates technical-looking knitwear, midi dresses play with organza and transparency, while satin blouses feature soft collars and jewel-like closures.
"A dress is just a dress. It is the woman who wears it that makes it relevant," explained Louise Trotter.
To complete the collection, the leather bags in cocoa and black are designed with a soft, padded structure and can be worn as crossbody or clutch styles. The Carven SS25 collection is now available in-store and online.
