THE NORTH FACE NUPTSE™ RELAUNCH

From October 13 to 23, Antonia Sant’Andrea presents an installation dedicated to the new Nuptse Reversible, one of The North Face’s iconic styles. An evolution of the original model introduced in the mountains in 1992, it retains its signature down insulation while pairing it with contemporary technical fabric in a construction designed to be worn on either side.
Named after the mountain located beside Everest, the Nuptse was introduced in 1992, when The North Face developed a new generation of technical outerwear in collaboration with athletes, mountaineers, and the U.S. Marine Corps. Its color-blocked panel construction and 700-fill goose down insulation were designed to provide warmth and visibility in extreme conditions.
In the years that followed, the Nuptse moved beyond the mountains to become part of urban culture and New York’s street scene. It emerged as an icon of hip-hop and streetwear, worn by artists including The Notorious B.I.G. and Missy Elliott, and later became the subject of collaborations with a range of brands.
The new style retains 700-fill recycled goose down insulation, certified to the Responsible Down Standard (RDS), enclosed in wind-resistant, highly insulating Pertex® Quantum fabric. A DWR treatment provides water repellency, while the reversible construction, enabled by the central zipper, allows the jacket to be worn on either side. Articulated sleeves, rounded-zip pockets, elastic cuffs, and embroidered logos complete the design.
The Nuptse Reversible is available at Antonia Sant’Andrea and online.
